Dr. Andrew Thorp, MD, MBA, RPVI, FACC, FSCAI

Dr. Thorp earned his medical degree from the American University of Antigua and an MBA from Plymouth State University. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Griffin Hospital and went on to a Fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at the University of South Dakota, followed by Interventional Cardiology Fellowship training at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.

He is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional Cardiology, Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology, Cardiac CT, and Vascular Imaging, and is a Fellow of both the American College of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. He also serves as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Quinnipiac University, where he enjoys teaching and mentoring future physicians.

A Waterbury native, Dr. Thorp lives in Oxford with his wife and two children.
